A collection of ten action plans that invite youth and youth workers to explore peace through empathy, communication and creative expression, offering flexible and engaging activities to inspire meaningful conversations.
These 10 lesson plans or action plans are designed to help young people understand and discuss the concept of peace in a personal, engaging and relevant way. The content of the activities encourages young people to think about peace and then their own experiences, consider different perspectives and understand the importance of peace and conflict resolution in today’s world.
The lesson plans combine interactive activities and thoughtful discussions that invite participants to look within themselves and create meaningful relationships with others. It is reasonable to consider each plan as a guideline that can be adapted by the facilitator of the activity according to the context, interests and needs of the target group. The activities vary in length and are mostly suitable for young people aged 13+.
The material was created within the Erasmus+ KA2 project “Peace Education in Times of Crises”. The partners of the project are the NGO Mondo, the Estonian Association of Youth Workers and RKI (Peace Development Institute RY) from Finland and IBS (Fundacja Instytut Bezpieczeństw A Społecznego) from Poland.
