Thank you, youth workers, that you show up and continue working with our youth.
The process of teaching people about strategies on how to transform a culture of violence into a peaceful culture is more important than ever. Peace education can take many forms, ranging from self-care to interpersonal conflict resolution skills, preventing tensions from escalating and taking care of oneself, people close to you and the planet. Peace education supports young people and adults in developing their understanding of relationships and society, as well as personal growth.
We hope that this online course has provided you with insights, motivation and skills about how to build sustainable peace within yourself, in your community and on Planet Earth. Remember, that you are not alone. Building peace is something that we do together.
We appreciate your work that you do with and for young people. Young people need adults they can rely on and who support them. Even having just one reliable adult who shows that they care makes a significant difference in a young person's life. Youth work can be a safe haven for young people where they can grow together and practise how to live peacefully in society. Thank you for your work!
